Kingsmith MC-21 doesn't count steps

Hello @mcdax my device doesn't count steps, also would awesome if you can convert sensor values time from just seconds to minutes on 0.4.9 version even on previous versions not worked. Very appreciated for your work.

Hi,
Regarding the sensor values: You can adapt the unit within the entity configuration. I think it is always the best to use the lowest (human readable) unit and let the user decide how to display it.

Regarding the steps: It works for my walkingpad without any problems. Do you see your step count in the app? If yes: Are these actual steps or just a calculation? (Let the belt run without being on it and check if the steps count up)

Already fixed elapsed time to minutes with second instead of just seconds. Regarding steps, my treadmill doesn't shows on display such data like steps, maybe you know the best precise way or formula to make it? Thank you

Mine also does not show steps on the display. But the Smartphone app does. In my case there seems to be a dedicated sensor since it does not count up if I'm not on the Walkingpad.

I do not know any formula and would have to google myself.

Hello @mcdax already find out how to make those two sensors. I noticed another very important issue. When i start treadmill with Physical buttons or by Ks fit app after some time i am pressing stop button and it's paused treadmill, again i press start button it's continue counting all sensors not set them to 0. In our case if i use your ha integration, after i press stop button it's completely stop and all sensors set to 0, after start again it's counting from scratch. Seems like pause function not implemented at all. Would be very good if you could implement also Pause, or instead of stop just pause. Thank you for your work

@mcdax but encountered another issue, after restarting HA it wan't start hacs integration. Even after re adding my treadmill again, after restart the same problem. Some problem with ID, please check log bellow

@mcdax Another I believe important thing that i noticed. When treadmill on pause or stoped, after couple minutes it goes to some idle state(please check screenshot with led indicates that state). If i push start button when treadmill on idle mode, it change led to "M", which means manual mode i believe. When treadmill on idle state, ha integrated can't start device from that state, only by physical button or by Ks fit app.

There are still a few glitches, esp. with (dis/re)connects when stressing the device. But the pause and update thingy should work now.

I'll try to reproduce the idle behavior on my device. Is your device also constantly reconnecting? I wonder if it is due to my bluetooth-proxies...

@mcdax Pause, stop function works properly, as well as connecting after restart HA. Regarding connecting issues, i have to check it with logs, and let you know.
