Feature: option to embed image metadata in creations made using Image Edit Batcher

Feature Idea

My work flow usually involves generating a huge batch of images without refining, then looking through them to see which I like the most, and then refining them afterward in a second batch of actions. The Image Edit Batcher tool makes this trivially easy to do in SwarmUI. Unfortunately this results in the new images containing no discernible embedded metadata. The json files are not all that useful to me, either, so I have those disabled as they just cause clutter.

It'd be nice to have an option to enable the embedding of generation metadata in images created through the Image Edit Batcher.

The image edit batcher puts metadata more or less the same as other gen methods do. For png/jpg outputs this is extremely simple, for webp or video outputs it needs sidecar files and disabling them kinda breaks that.

Since you're working with images... just make sure you have png/jpg and standard metadata isn't disabled.

@mcmonkey4eva Thanks for the response! I am saving to PNG, and none of the metadata is being embedded when using the Batcher. If I run the generator without the Image Edit Batcher active, then my images save with embedded metadata. If I enable the batcher, and run it, there is no embedded metadata, despite the save file format being the same (PNG). If I have the generator create four normal images, they have metadata. If I then run the Image Edit Batcher against those same four images, the new images do not have embedded metadata.

No combination of metadata options from the User or Server settings is resulting in Image Edit Batcher images being saved with metadata. On the other hand, all images saved normally have the expected metadata embeds.

Even more, if I go into the "Swarm Internal" panel and turn on "Output Intermediate Image," then run the Image Edit Batcher, neither the final nor the intermediate saved PNG files have discernible embedded metadata. However, if I turn off the batcher, then hit run and generate either a normal image or an upscaled one, all resulting PNGs have discernible embedded metadata.

EDITED to add that I should note that I am mainly using the Infinite Image Browsing tool to read metadata on my image collections. It sees the metadata on the "normal" PNG files without issue, but for those generated using the Image Edit Batcher, it shows none. This could possibly be a limitation of that tool. However I am similarly unable to see the metadata using either digiKam or the "SD Prompt Reader" tool, so I figured it just wasn't an option when I opened this case. Thanks for taking a look!

@mcmonkey4eva I just tried the update and the metadata works now, but I feel like something else changed. I could have sworn that the Image Edit Batcher was previously able to read the image seed from the images being processed, but that isn't happening now. Now all the images are either processed against the same loaded seed (if the panel is set to static) or instead against entirely new seeds (if the panel is set to -1 / random). Is there a setting that I maybe accidentally reset that governs this function? I'd like to be able to run the batched images against the refiner without changing their seeds, but I can't figure that out now - all the images processed are resulting in entirely new(but refined) images. I've got the batch set to "use as image prompt" - should I be using something else?
