[WIP] Pipelined FPGA implementation of a Differential Evolution Engine

This work-in-progress repository contains the hardware architecture for a Differential Evolution engine used for scientific model optimization on FPGAs. The designs for two use cases of the engine, the optimization of the Hodgkin-Huxley model for neuron activation, and Circadian clock model for Arabidopsis thaliana, are included.

Software (CPU and GPU) references to make performance comparisons are also included.
