Make the code compatible with 2D

The main goal is to create a new illustration where the very first 2D hard sphere simulations by Metropolis are reproduced (JCP 21 1953 6).

This will require:

• make the code working in 2D
• add a new "hard sphere" potential
• extract EoS for the 2D system
