ACL and vertical branches

I am interested into trying to help this project.

I am even more interested in the vertical structure and the ACL support.

I see that there are 2 branches acl and vertical test. Are these branches going somewhere? I can see they are behind in commits, and haven't been merged for a while.

Do you plan to get these done? Do you need any help?
