Play Testers Wanted

[traek]

With the new draft of the layout for the Rifts Character Sheet 2.0, I am looking for those willing to test it out from a simple layout/room validation perspective. Obviously, I don't want to attempt to do all the painstaking work to turn this into a form just to find that entire sections need to be reworked, and therefore lose most of the layout work required to turn this into a form. This PDF will only allow you to print the sheet.

A couple of quick notes about this character sheet:

• It's intended to be printed on US Letter (8.5" x 11"); if you force any other format (looking at you A4), you will struggle
• Due to needing as much real estate as possible, a tiny 0.25" margin was used; please print on a printer capable of using this or the already extremely small space available for handwritten entries will likely prove to be too small

If you are willing to play test this, please come back and drop a comment or two about your experience so I can use that feedback in refining the character sheet further before moving on to creating the PDF form. Once we get to that step, it will be a short Python script away from being released.

Also, if you haven't already, you can also get a good idea of what the finished product will be like by checking out the current (1.1) version of the fillable PDF here: Rifts-Character-Sheet.pdf 1.1

Thanks for checking this project out and please feel free to join if you're interested in helping out more!

I should also point out one more caveat: the intended use for this character sheet is first and foremost as a fillable PDF. The top 2 inches of this sheet is repeated on both pages. The idea is to have one side for adventuring and the other for combat. On either side, you will have basic information for your character but then each side will have the purposed info needed. I tried to make flipping between sides minimal but as you can imagine what works really well for a Man-At-Arms class is a completely different experience for a Magic User class. Anyway... using this in printed form only is less-than-ideal since your pencil won't magically replicate what you write on one side to the other...

Something else to look forward to once the layout gets finalized and I move on to the PDF form part of this project.
