With FontStream, can we get glyphs shapes of font?

No, FontStream was not made for that. If you need this, use a third part library like as3swf or FonReader

Can we use FontStream with Flash 10 text engine (FTE, flash.text.engine)?

No, for the moment, FontStream work only with TextField class or its subclasses (Flex). It's due to a technical difference between the old engine and the new one to embed fonts (DefineFont4, Compact Font Format)

Which chars / languages are supported?

All char of Unicode Basic Multilingual Plane (plane 0), which contains the majority of actual commons languages.

Which font format are supported?

It's depend of what tool is used to generate SWF files. (see How to embed a font in a SWF)

Which license kind is needed?

FontStream require the same license than embedding a font in a SWF document. (See Licenses)
