I implemented zotac zone fan support on the latest steamos without relying on the full platform driver interfaces, and i’d like to scope this pr to that working improvement for now.
platform driver support is not upstream yet. cachyos has its own kernel support, but i still need to test that separately. because of that, i’d scope the full driver-backed implementation into a separate pr.
for reference, this fan support is based on the zotac platform driver from: https://github.com/OpenZotacZone/ZotacZone-Drivers/blob/main/driver/platform/zotac-zone-platform.c
