Would it be possible to both require and show acknowledgements for emoji reactions?

Right now, I can send a emoji reaction to a message but there is no easy way for me to see if it went thru. The reason I ask is that emoji reactions are useful to see who got and read a message without filling up a channel with acknowledgements.

I was going to open an issue but I'm not sure whether this is a firmware issue or an app issue.
