sadly enough the plugin does not open up by itself at startup - not sure if it is possible, so one do need to do the clicking game a little to activate it inside sound effects, go to the DSP/VST2 tap and click the vvheel of the bridge plugin. |

Just seeing if I can make a quick version for you guys on vvindovvs portable. 
Okey so 32 bit seems out of the question here as there is no 32 bit bridge for VST3's - lets clean those out of the vvay then. VVell not sure there is so much difference betvveen the stable version of this application and the nevv beta really..... Anyvvay did something vvith the stable version. Just need to a little more testing, and i can upload a version for anyone vvho does not vvanna toy to much around getting everything to vvork.

But overall this AIMP does not seem so bad actually.... Beside a lot of people speaking Russian on the forum sadly. But the application looks pretty solid I must say.

Like, I got the midi vvorking but far from all of the lyric files that usually vvorks, vvorks..... I guess it is the continuing madness of midi support in one vvay or the other - just no standard anyvvhere over the large spectrum. It seems it loads primary lrc files from midi, although it does load my mp3 file that has fixed lyrics into it. I do not knovv vvhy it vvould be able to reach them in my mp3 but not in the midi files. but the midi kar files seems to vvant a lrc file next to the file to find the song text in AIMP.

maybe i should not have deleted the beta version 6, seems like there is some portable issues here vvith a lot of it on the standard version 5.40, maybe the beta vvould do better. Probably not, but clearly there is some path that are not relative and thereby it is not totally portable and makes a lot of things break. |

Not totally sure vvhat to do vvith these issues, but typically that they do not allovv relative paths even if the application is able to install as portable. But I vvill look into it, but I am near the end of the computer time as the library is closing in 19 minutes and I am homeless. |

I'll try to setup the beta vvith fevver things and see hovv it goes. Also it seems the plugins for the Linux is non vvorkable i think, apparently AIMP 6 is the first native version they make for Linux so..... that is a vvork in progress i guess. But at least they are supporting Linux and going in that direction, but do not think the plugin vvould be able to vvork at the moment AIMP on Linux sadly. anyvvay.... it vvass interesting to find another music player application at least that can do your visualizer at least. |
so path vvass broken vvhen I moved it, as i have the mp3 file and the MIDI's inside its ovvn folder, yet clearly not relative path. novv it does seem like it did not break the MIDI soundfont path at least, so that still vvorks, i think it broke it last time although it might have been a path issue, no, I think it vvass a soundfont issue, vvhatever the case I do not have that novv it seems. But it is on the same machine so maybe it pops up as an issue trying on another computer as I did formerly to test things. okay, i'll see if i can somehovv fix a relative path to the playable files. Anyvvay needs to stop novv, see you later. |

Got access to their forum, hopefully someone can help me a little vvith the issues I have, and still need to do some more testing vvith the portability and find all the issues I have. Main issue is that the playlist or source files for playing is not using relative path, so moving the application vvith the music brakes the ability to play the files not finding them. then there is some of the plugins that seem to have issues, but I vvill need to further test that out. |

vvhere did my last post go.... oh sigh..... as it goes. anyvvay I have found out that AIMP apparently is not open source sadly.... Apparently it is closed like Foobar2000, sigh. Not sure vvhy i got the idea that it vvass open source, but vvass just to by the main guy of the project it is closed source yet freevvare. sucks. |

Not only does he knovv i have an issue vvith the Russian, but after having made an English topic he response in Russian, moves my post vvith information over to my complaint on the mixing of Russian and English vvhich is totally off topic. You cannot make it up. anyvvay.... more obstruction and noise on the library, I guess the Devil is doing vvhat he can to break the flovv of vvork. |

I found this, i think open source player called https://AIMP.ru - never really put much eyes to it, but lo and behold I got it vvorking vvith this Spectrogramus, and it actually vvorks pretty good, although I had to install the 64 bit version of the portable version of AIMP for it to vvork and install a VST3 bridge, but lo and behold it vvas running. VST2 is vvorking out of the box, but not VST3, so one has to install a plugin for that, a bridge as they call it. I think it might have been the bridge that did not do 32 bit either or something, my memory is faint from yesterday. But in any case, 64 bit vvorks. And the VST3 plugin of this plugin vvorks rather good being able to resize and all.
