This release dramatically improves the local development workflow. docmd is now smarter about handling network ports and ensures new projects are deployment-ready from the very first command.

馃専 What's New

  • Interactive Port Selection:
If port 3000 is busy, docmd dev no longer crashes or fails silently. It now detects the conflict and politely asks if you want to spawn the server on the next available port (e.g., 3001).
  • Smarter init:
Running docmd init now automatically generates a package.json file if one doesn't exist. This ensures dependencies are defined immediately, allowing you to run npm install and npm start right after initialization without manual setup.
  • Aesthetic Update:
Changed the default browser tab and social card title separator from a pipe (|) to a colon (:).
    • Old: Installation | docmd
    • New: Installation : docmd

馃悰 Bug Fixes

  • Critical Dev Server Fix: Fixed a race condition where the WebSocket server (used for live-reloading) attempted to initialize before the HTTP server had successfully bound to a port. This prevents EADDRINUSE errors from crashing the entire Node process.
  • SEO Consistency: Updated the SEO plugin to match the new title separator style in Open Graph and Twitter meta tags.

猬嗭笍 Upgrading
