UI - Add +/- Year Buttons

Played with the wife last night on our phones, and we found that the whilst the slider makes it easy to quickly navigate between the years, sometimes it was tricky dialing in the exact year.

My thought was to add 'Plus and Minus' buttons to either side the the 'Year' to make selecting a little easier (see janky paint job below)

Great idea. I have added it to the backlog for the next release

I have the problem that on my devices the year changes in steps of 4 years when tapping on plus and minus. I think it should be 1 year steps?
Perhaps this function could also be expanded with extra buttons for +5 and -5 years.

Thanks for flagging that @ludgerbeckmann — a 4-year jump per tap is definitely a bug (sounds like the click handler is double- or quadruple-firing on your device).

Tracked as bug #851 in the v3.3.4 milestone — will repro on iOS/Android/desktop and fix. Your +5/-5 suggestion is a nice follow-up too; will keep that on the radar once the primary bug is sorted. Appreciated!

Good news — this shipped! 🎉

The player's year control now has −5 · − · slider · + · +5 buttons flanking the slider (#851). You can nudge the exact year one at a time, or jump in fives, without fighting the slider — exactly the problem you described.
