Always show command completion?

Hi, is there a way to always show command completion, even if nothing is entered?

For example, if I C-e:

The first line would be immediately rendered, with the first tab press selecting "bind" or whatever the first command is.

A solution might be to "invoke" a virtual tab press, then delete that many characters without updating command completion, but seems hacky and I don't know enough about plugins to know if this would be possible.

Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment due to how autocomplete works, see

We require at least 1 character to start auto-completing, afaik.
