Copy & Paste Does not work over SSH. #2807

I'm having a similar issue as issue #958 ("copy does not work in SSH session"). #95

I'm running micro (Version: 2.0.11, Commit hash: 225927b, Compiled on August 01, 2022) on Dietpi Buster v8.16.2 (modified version of Raspian/Raspberry Pi OS) on a headless setup and SSHing into it.

I have disabled the mouse option. Micro can successfully copy and paste inside the SSH session for the Raspberry Pi I'm connected to.

If I try to copy something outside of the SSH session (or between multiple sessions), the paste buffer is empty.

Here is a complete test text file I created in order to demonstrate:
1 A 2 B 3 C 4 D 5 E 6 F 7 G 8 H 9 I 10 J 11 K 12 L 13 M 14 N 15 O 16 P 17 Q 18 R 19 S 20 T 21 U 22 V 23 W 24 X 25 Y 26 Z

When open with micro, I select all of the text using CTRL + Shift + Down Arrow, then CTRL + C.

I receive the confirmation "Copied selection".

I would then expect to be able to click away from my SSH client and paste this elsewhere.

However, if I try to paste it outside of the session, nothing happens; in the case of my Windows 10 computer that I'm testing this on, the paste buffer is empty.
