Is there a way to jump to the matching bracket? Like % in vim.

Currently, micro underlines the matching bracket but it's not very visible. Changing the background color of the matching bracket would be much more visible. Is that possible?

Yes, there is JumpToMatchingBrace action for that, although not bound to any key by default. You can bind it to any key you like. I have it bound to Alt-k in my bindings.json.

Currently micro always only underlines the matching brace, without any color highlighting. But it should be quite easy to implement possibility to override it in the colorscheme file, to highlight it with any color you like.

Thank you! It's very useful. I use the following line:

"Alt-k": "JumpToMatchingBrace,CursorLeft",

I prefer the vim style, i.e. stay on the bracket, hence the step left at the end.

Update:

I had some issues with this modified solution where the cursor is moved left. It's better to stick to the original version:

"Alt-k": "JumpToMatchingBrace",

It's not clear what you mean. Is it possible now by editing the colorscheme file, or should it be implemented in micro as a new feature?

It's not possible now, but it can be implemented in micro as a new feature.

...Well, it's really easy to implement, so I've just done it: #3019.

I've noticed that is it also already implemented in another (still pending) PR #2876, in a better way: it adds an option to switch between underlining and highlighting, without requiring to modify the colorscheme. (If there is no match-brace color in the colorscheme, it defaults to highlighting braces with reversed colors.)
