Error with comment plugin

Description of the problem or steps to reproduce

I am simply trying to comment a line of code in python, and when I press the key-binding (or execute the comment via Ctr+E 'comment' I get the following error:

Since this is an issue with an external plugin, it should be reported on that plugin's git repo. It can be found here: https://github.com/micro-editor/comment-plugin

Unfortunately it's not obvious how to get to an individual plugin's git repo. You'd need to look it up in the plugin channel: https://github.com/micro-editor/plugin-channel

I'd like for the github repo of plugins to be linked on the Plugin page of micro-editor.github.io

Aside from that, I wasn't able to reproduce your issue, could you post the file that you are trying to comment? Does this error occur consistently, or is it seemingly random?

What filetype does micro list when you are editing the file? (CtrlE > show filetype -- it should also be displayed in the status line)

@DanielPower thank you. I am trying to comment a line in a python file (but it happens in any python file it appears).

@zyedidia I ran the command and I get: python (as expected)
