Support for font's with ligatures

Is this not down to the terminal emulator itself, as opposed to micro?

Well the editor would need to display the respective characters @jackwilsdon

Font ligatures don't require the editor to do anything special, it's down to the renderer to use the ligatures in place of the characters (i.e. they don't have special character codes or anything).

I just changed my terminal font to Fira Code and it worked out of the box.

@jackwilsdon Oooooo ok. Do you know which font rendering engines support ligatures? I use st as my terminal and dwm as my window manager, is there a way I could get ligatures to work?
