Query DirectML version at runtime

Hi,

Is there a way to query the build version of the DirectML binary at runtime? This would be for a sanity check that the DirectML.dll that got loaded is indeed the correct one, and not the older one that lives in system32 directory.

Hi, DirectML doesn't provide an explicit way to query its version, but DMLCreateDevice1 can take a minimumFeatureLevel which will cause the function to return DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED if the version of DirectML is too old to support that feature level. This is useful in the case where you know you need (or want) a specific DML_FEATURE_LEVEL, and can be used to detect if the loaded version of DirectML is older than you're expecting.
