PAX Umbrella Infrastructure – Release Notes v1.0.5

Release Information

  • Version: 1.0.5
  • Release Date: October 29, 2025
  • Scope: Umbrella alignment (infrastructure + coordinated component tagging)
  • Components Included:
    • Graph Audit Log Processor graph-v0.1.2 (administrative bump only)
    • Purview Audit Log Processor purview-v1.7.4 (observability & completeness improvements)
    • Infrastructure manifest & repository hygiene updates
  • Previous Umbrella Version: 1.0.4

Overview

PAX-v1.0.5 is a coordination and hygiene release that synchronizes version identifiers across the repository while preserving strict auditability. It introduces no functional changes to the Graph processor, incorporates significant observability and automated completeness enhancements from the Purview processor upgrade, and refreshes shared metadata artifacts (version manifest, README links, .gitignore, and retention policy markers).

This umbrella version acts as the integrity anchor: it confirms component parity, enforces Cargo.lock exclusion, and documents retention strategy for historical artifacts.

Delta Since v1.0.4

Area Change Impact
Graph Script Version bump to 0.1.2 (no code path changes) Maintains tag + asset parity; zero runtime impact
Purview Script Upgraded to 1.7.4 (metrics JSON, exit codes, AutoCompleteness) Enables machine-readable completeness & remediation
Manifest (versions.json) Updated to Graph 0.1.2, Purview 1.7.4, Umbrella 1.0.5 Single source of truth for release automation
README Updated download links to latest component versions Prevents stale asset navigation
Retention .gitkeep files Clarified purpose & audit retention comments Reinforces historical artifact preservation
.gitignore Explicit exclusion of src-tauri/Cargo.lock Avoids unintended churn & conflict noise
Historical Archives New versions added under script_archive/* Ensures immutable provenance lineage

Component Summary

Graph Audit Log Processor (graph-v0.1.2)

Administrative-only: version string alignment; no logic, schema, parameter, or performance changes.

Purview Audit Log Processor (purview-v1.7.4)

Introduces structured metrics emission, automated recursive completeness remediation (-AutoCompleteness), deterministic exit codes (0 / 10 / 20), and deferred parallel aggregation integrity. Recommended for any pipeline requiring completeness validation.

Umbrella Infrastructure (PAX-v1.0.5)

Coordinates repository-wide version tags, ensures documentation & release notes consistency, and codifies retention + exclusion policies.

Rationale

  1. Prevent asset/version drift between scripts, tags, and documentation.
  2. Establish observability baseline (Purview) before future functional expansions.
  3. Reduce conflict and noise by excluding non-essential generated files (Cargo.lock).
  4. Reinforce historical invariants (archive + doc + release notes preserved per version).

Upgrade Guidance

Scenario Recommended Action
Using previous Graph version (0.1.1) Optional upgrade for parity; no revalidation required
Using Purview v1.7.3 or earlier Strongly upgrade to leverage metrics & exit codes
Relying on automation / CI gating Adopt Purview v1.7.4 for machine-readable completeness
Auditing historical lineage Use manifest & archive directories for traceability

No migration scripts needed. Existing invocation patterns remain valid.

Verification Checklist

  1. Tags present: graph-v0.1.2, purview-v1.7.4, PAX-v1.0.5.
  2. Root scripts match tagged versions; historical scripts preserved in script_archive/*.
  3. versions.json reflects synchronized component versions.
  4. .gitignore contains Cargo.lock exclusion.
  5. Release pages contain correct assets (Graph & Purview: script + doc + release note; Umbrella: source archives only).

Known Issues

No new umbrella-level issues. Any component-specific notes remain confined to their respective release notes (e.g., Purview performance considerations under high subdivision recursion).

Summary

PAX-v1.0.5 establishes a clean, observable baseline: Graph stability, Purview completeness intelligence, and repository hygiene + provenance alignment. Safe, low-risk adoption; prepares groundwork for subsequent functional iterations.

Next Planned Focus: Potential functional expansion for Graph processor and extended multi-source aggregation orchestration leveraging Purview observability patterns.
