Other Software
No response
Repro Steps
I also made this bug report on WSLg as I wasn't sure where it belonged: microsoft/wslg#1444
- Have GUI apps installed before update to WSL v2.7.3
- See all the GUI apps in the folder in the Start Menu
- Update to WSL v2.7.3 using the 'wsl.exe --update' command in Windows Terminal
- Most of the GUI apps no longer show in Start Menu
Expected Behavior
Updating to WSL v2.7.3 should keep all my GUI app icons in Start Menu
Actual Behavior
Updating to WSL v2.7.3 on two different computers made most of the GUI app icons disappear from the Start Menu.
One PC had 1 icon left, the other PC had 3 icons left. Both PCs had 22 icons prior to updating WSL.
I even did a 'sudo apt install --reinstall [list of gui apps]' to see if that would restore the icons, it did not.
