@ioweb-gr what is the output of getconf NAME_MAX and getconf PATH_MAX? Use your home directory or any other mounted Linux filesystem.

This is output on a real Fedora system:

[tux@fedora tmp]$ getconf NAME_MAX /
255
[tux@fedora tmp]$ getconf PATH_MAX /
4096

Your string for the filename is 360 bytes (UTF-8) and exceeds the NAME_MAX

Oh I see, thank you it seems the NAME_MAX variable is indeed 255 so it's a linux issue not a WSL issue. :)
