What's the correct/suitable approach to use Win2D library in WPF controls?

@arivoir that is a great question! I don't know if that was possible with UWP Win2D and WPF. We're developing the desktop version of Win2D which should make this more possible. This would make a great sample that we will put on our list to try.

I would LOVE to use Win2D directly in a WPF application.

We tried two approaches for combining WPF with Direct2D: the first was based on D3DImage and the second on HwndHost. Both had some pitfalls. As far as I can see, XamlIslands are based on HwndHost. This way is more stable than D3DImage but looks as a foreigner in the WPF world. Is there any chance for using D3DImage or something like that with Win2D? Thanks.
