Crash as a git EDITOR.

edit works generally well (I have 1.2.0), but it likes to crash when I use it to edit git commits / merge via the EDITOR env var.

I am on a Rocky 9 connected via ssh from a Windows Terminal application.

Most of the times it works, but a few times it crashes and leaves the terminal in a bad state, where characters no longer echo. I need to re-connect.

If you have the ability, could you please build a debug version of this repository and try using it again as your editor? (It requires installing Rust Nightly, cloning the repository and simply running cargo build. The binary will be at ./target/debug/edit.) When it crashes it should print a stack trace.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's because of #698.
