In turn other security softwre (by virustotal) also classify is us such (like Microsoft Defender).

I understand it's hooking and injecting, but wonder if something can be helped here! I also understand if it can't (I'm not a security person), just asking in case something can be done :)

Yes, it is hooking and injecting by design so it may look like malware. Not sure what can be done here either -- I will ask around a bit. Another thing I am planning to do is create actual Github releases (instead of just a version tag) where the redirect dll's at least get a verifiable sha256 hash which can be checked.
