Hi all — I built a VS Code extension called Deck and have been using it daily for about a month.
I run Claude Code and Codex across a bunch of git worktrees at once. I tried Superset and cmux first, but they're separate apps and constantly switching out of VS Code was killing me. Plain tmux kept the terminals alive, but the UX wasn't great: terminals stuck in the bottom panel, no Ctrl+Tab between sessions, and every reboot I'd get logged out of all my agent sessions.
So I built Deck. It adds a Repositories & Worktrees tree to the secondary sidebar (repo → worktree → terminals) — same idea as Superset/cmux, but inside VS Code so I'm not switching apps.
Persistent terminals, one per worktree, opened as editor tabs (Ctrl+Tab between them). They're tmux-backed but you never touch tmux. Close a tab and reopen it, or switch worktree (which reloads the window), and whatever's running keeps running.
A few more things it does:
MIT-licensed, no telemetry. Requires VS Code 1.110+ and tmux 3.1+. Status and session-resume currently support Claude Code and Codex; the terminals run anything, and if you'd like another agent supported, open an issue.
Still rough around the edges and there's more coming, but it's been working well for me.
