VS code failed to launch java debugger

I am trying to run a Spring boot application in the VS Code, but the debugger fails to launch by displaying the error shown in the image:

I already have tried to debug the sample application which works fine.
Any help would be appreciated!

Can you switch console from "internalConsole" to "integratedTerminal" and show us the command line args in terminal view?

Here is the result of your suggested change. Sorry, what do you mean by command line args in terminal view? I am debugging direclty using F5. The application runs successfully but fails to debug.

Navigate through View -> Terminal, the command line launch args should be showed there.
