If 'files to include' field contain extensions paths that don't contain project dir are ignored

Imagine my repo tree looks as follows:

MyProject
|-----foo
|-----bar
      |---baz
          |---etc...

When i try to search for a word in files with specific extensions in bar/baz i set the files to include field to .h, .cpp, bar/baz/.
VS code seems to ignore bar/baz/ but it works when i set a path with project dir (./MyProject/bar/baz) or delete extensions (.h, .cpp).
