Quick pick: Support the recognization of an existing file when its path is begining with "./"

Hi all,
Thanks for your hard work! Now vscode is so powerful and become my best development tool. I work on Ubuntu 18.04 with vscode 1.47.2

This feature request is about the searching functionality opened in the palette.

Describe the feature concisely

1. Let's assume I have a file called log in the root directory of the project which is opened & managed by vscode: I try to search it and vscode works well
   
2. But sometimes when I type in a equaivalent path beginning with ./ and it doesn't work anymore. But it should be IMHO
   

I hope it can be supported! ;-) Would you be happy to consider that?
