Vscode installed but won't open on windows 10

I installed vscode on windows10 but it doesn't open, it doesn't show any error message either. when i try launching it with "code" in cmd i get no response. code--verbose gives no response too. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it's not helping either, what could be the issue?
