Save pane layout in GitPod

Hey,

I am using VS Code Web in GitPod.
On my iPad, I am able to drag the file explorer shut with my finger, and the display above the terminal, so that just the terminal remains full screen. However, when I close that GitPod workspace, and then open it later, those panes are back in their original places, and I have to do it again.

I have Settings Sync turned on. How can I save these settings? Is there a specific command I can put in the settings file, or can I call a save command?

Also, if I can write it to the settings file, how do I commit it to GitHub so that GitPod pulls it each time? Should I write the VS code settings in the GitPod YAML file, which gets committed to the GitHub repo?

@julkhami This sounds like something the Gitpod team might be able to answer for you as I'm not familiar with their product. Does this issue still occur on github.dev or codespaces?
