gdb debugger launch target, that works also for NASM (*.asm) and gas (.S,.s) files

I tried to setup a workspace for a pure NASM project (linux) and wanted to automatize the debugger call from the
vscode user interface. Could not do it. Either it would be good to explain, how this is done in the documentation
(if it is possible) or, if this does not work at the moment, I really would be very happy about such a feature or feature
extension, that can handle it.
