Shell decorations: missing padding in split terminal

How to reproduce

• open a terminal, type some commands
• split the terminal, type some commands on the new terminal

What happens?

• the second (right) terminal is missing padding between the decorators & the prompt

What should happen?

• the second terminal should have padding between the decorators & the prompt
