when i execute powershell script, execution comes to terminal again

Whenever i select and run certain lines in powershell terminal, the same selected lines does appear in the terminal again after execution. this is same even if i run whole script or selection. This problem is happening only after recent vs code upgrade, don't know how to downgrade to previous version, so waiting for new version to release to upgrade.

Hello VSCode-Team,

i have the same problem selecting code and pressing F8. The integrated terminal is showing the ">>" sign in front of the prompt, like an incomplete cmldet in the CLI. After pressing "Return" the selected code is executed once again. This behaviour only appears since the update to 1.68.1. No configuration changes have been made. I have already checked the keyboard shortcuts and there are no double assignments.

after a downgrade to version 1.67.2, the execution of selected code runs as expected.

Yeah, above is the same issue even i am facing.

In the meantime I found out that it is not the VSCode version but the Powershell extension. Downgrade the Powershell extension to v2022.5.1 and it works again.

Yes, you are right. Just downgraded to 2022.5.1 and it is working fine now. Probably i will wait for the newer version before i upgrade it (I think it is getting upgraded automatically as new version releases).
