a:visited{} not working

I'm facing an issue, the problem is while running a program named as "tut22.html". And in this I added style and wrote the whole code correctly but still the a:visited{} function is working. Even though I treid to solve this by the help of internet, but nothing showed up related to this problem. After all that I searched the dirct problem on google and get to know that I can complain or can get help through this process. One more thing that I want to add at this point is I also reinstalled the VS Code but nothing happened. Please help me to resolve this problem.
