I am a user I don't want all folders to get displayed I want only few folders to get displayed

The use case as if the folder contains following folders

root/

• a1
• b1
• a2
• b2

But I want to see only a1 and a2 in my view

root/

• a1
• a2

this gonna be good if you can make this

You can add a .vscode folder to your folder. Put a settings.json file in there with this content:

    "files.exclude": {
        "/b1": true,
        "/b2": true
    }
}

That should hide b1 and b2.

Another approach is to set up a multi-root workspace consisting of root/a1 and root/a2.
