VS CODE not Compiling My Code..

I Pressed CTRL+SHIFT+B its not Compiling my ts code to js
I Run tsc app.ts It also not Compiling my code..its given me some unknown errors.. TS1005 Dont Know what is it??

@Ghayyas is there a reason you are on TS 1.5.x? The latest release is 1.7. Maybe updating helps.

you have to add a tsconfig.json file pls see: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/languages/typescript
