FR: ability to show/hide files and folders from the sidebar

When working on big projects typically you find files from the sidebar you have a bunch of files and folders it makes harder to find and harder to focus on what you need right now. It would be nice to have a custom ui to temporarily hide these files and folders while also being able to see that its still there and can be reverted from hiding with some form of ui or without having to do at the settings config level.

JFYI Closest existing solution(workaround) is to use files.exclude and https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=amodio.toggle-excluded-files
