Whole folder search does not seem to use preferred encoding #170448

Hello,
I'm french, and open Microsoft Visual FoxPro source code files with VS Code
My user settings contain the following :
"files.associations": {
".sc2": "foxpro",
".vc2": "foxpro",
".pj2": "foxpro",
".prg": "foxpro",
"*.spr": "foxpro"
},
"[foxpro]": {
"files.encoding": "windows1252"
},
When i use the whole folder search (Ctrl+Shift+F), accented characters are not found in foxpro files, as if the search opened them only using UTF-8 encoding.
If i remove accented parts (beginning or end of the words), the search finds those parts and display the found files in the list.
Found a closed issue here that seem to be similar : #155374
This is a serious issue that prevent a full staff to plainly use VS Code, as we do not have this problem using folder search in SublimeText or Notepad++
