API to call a different webview to do the diff and merge (other than the default text based one) #171381

We have developed a plugin which maintain a customized xml file for our own use case. And we have a dedicated VSC web view to do the merge and diff .
Is there an API for us to register our merge Webview to be the default merge and diff view for our file type ? Thanks!
