[Extension Host] XXX is beyond a symbolic link

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

• VS Code Version: 1.75.1
• OS Version: macOS 13.1

It seems to be similar to #38365, but happens simply when opening my project's folder, no extension enabled, other than the Remote SSH

This is (I think) preventing files from being saved, essentially when typing, the icon next to a file tab does not turn into a dot (remains a cross)

Here node_modules is a symlink to another directory within the git root of the project, this did not used to be an issue, not sure what triggered this to start happening

The dot means the file is unsaved, the X means it is saved, so it seems that files are being saved, unless you meant it the other way around.
