visual glitches after updating some packages on Fedora (38)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. launch code

I updated some packages on fedora and rebooted this somehow broke the visual display (might be uncorrelated).
Rolled back to 1.81 still same issue.
Launching code tunnel and then opening the url in the browser works ( although since it doesn't use the same configs from the installed application its a bit of a pain to work with )
