Milestone
Description
Currently, the list of open editors is organized in groups and windows as follows:
- GROUP 1
- ...
- GROUP 2
- ...
- WINDOW 2: GROUP 1
- ...
- WINDOW 2: GROUP 2
- ...
The current organization of open editors can become unmanageable, particularly when working with multiple groups and windows. I suggest a tree-like hierarchy structure:
- WINDOW 1
- GROUP 1
- ...
- GROUP 2
- ...
- GROUP 1
- WINDOW 2
- GROUP 1
- ...
- GROUP 2
- ...
- GROUP 1
Also, I suggest showing the window and group labels when there is more than one of each. This means that when two windows are open and each has a group we can simply show this:
- WINDOW 1
- ...
- WINDOW 2
- ...
Advantages:
- Improved Organization
- Efficient Navigation
- Reduced Clutter
- Clear Separation
