Keychain issue - desktop environment not detected

ARM 64 Rapberrry Pi with a fresh installation of Raspberry Pi OS (Debian bookworm).
Reproduction steps:
install dotnet 8.0 sdk
install vs code
install the c sharp devkit plugin

The error then appeared and the troubleshooting guide says to create a new bug here.

My desktop environment is LXDE-pi-wayfire.
I don't know how to correct the issue with the keyring and would appreciate some help.

Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code, the latest stable release is 1.84.2. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

Yes it was an older version that I installed yesterday, but I have now updated and still have the same issue.

I was able to identify that I have gnome-keyring (using the command dpkg -l | grep keyring).
I then added it to the launch parameters as per the keyring troubleshooting guide.

While this workaround works - I would much prefer if VSCode would correctly determine and configure this.

That would benefit other users, as well as myself next time I have to install vscode.
