autoDetectColorScheme is suddenly not working #244734

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open vscode on my system
- It is in light mode even if my system is set to dark mode.
Every other app I use is in dark mode (and they switch to light and back again when I change my system setting).
This started happening after upgrading to this vscode version.
One interesting thing that happened after the same system update was that chrome also switched to light mode. I fixed that by going into the chrome settings and switching to "GTK" theme instead of "Classic".
