Can't Connect via Remote SSH after Update

Type: Bug

I updated to the most recent version of VS Code, and when I went to connect remotely in the same window to my server via SSH, it came up with the error "The remote host does not meet the prerequisites for running VS Code Server." I have updated my server, but the error persists. What can I do?

To add info: went back to version 1.98.2 and it will now connect via SSH. If there is still something else I can do to make the server meet the prerequisites, that info would be much appreciated.

Did you see https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_99#_linux-legacy-server-support-has-ended in the 1.99 release notes?

Please see the linked release notes regarding supported server. The link includes a technical workaround if upgrading to a modern OS is not feasible
