COPILOT OUTPUT VERY VERY SLOW

I have no idea how to reproduce it. It has happened several times randomly over a period of weeks. It is excruciatingly slow, sometimes having to wait a full 5 mins for it to complete outputting a sentence. It is not doing anything in the background as far as I can see, i.e. it is not summarising conversation history (it always outputs a message saying it is doing so), nor is it running any tasks, searches or commands. It is literally just trying to output the response to a question I asked.

Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code; the latest stable release is 1.108.2. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

The slowness is not in the analysis (i.e. the faded sub window that appears showing the thought process), it is when the Copilot window tries to output the formatted response.

I suspect that it may be API related. The slowness lasted for about 30 mins. I had restarted VSCode a couple of times in that period and returned to the chat, but the responses were still very, very slow. They then returned to normal speed without any further action on my part.
