Claude agent chat history disappears after each invocation in VS Code Copilot Chat

Hi team,

I would like to report a bug I encountered when using the Claude agent in Copilot Chat.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Select Claude agent and send a message to it.

2. During the response generation, the chat panel displays the model’s intermediate reasoning process. After the reasoning stage finishes and the final answer is generated, the entire Claude response disappears from the chat panel.

I have already tried reinstalling the Copilot extensions and even reinstalling VS Code, but the issue still persists.

I met the same problem, the Claude agent seesion does not save in SESSIONS panel.

Hi all, I've done a lot of work in this space recently, can you please try with the latest version of VS Code & Copilot Chat? We now use official Claude Agent SDK APIs for reading in sessions so if these go wrong, I'll need to loop in Anthropic.
