I was running Fedora 43 + KDE + Wayland on a Frame.Work Laptop (AMD AI 300 series).
because of this problem, I re-installed my OS.

Now running VsCode from Flatpak. Same problem.

The observed behavior: When switching to an editor tab in VsCode, in some cases it starts typing a single character (newline or space) like someone is holding down the key.

I had this with 2 different keyboards (wired and wireless), at home and at work. The only constants are VsCode and my Frame.Work Laptop, as even the OS is changed

I can confirm described behavior;
SW platform: fedora 43 + wayland;
HW platform: HP elitebook, AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 7535U with Radeon Graphics
the only thing regarding steps to reproduce: unexpected typing (spaces) happens after ctrl + tab (switching source code window)
beahvior repeated with internal and 2 external keyboards => not HW related

This is still happening. It's making VsCode unusable.
Also happens when pressing enter in explorer to open a file in editor, which keeps typing enters in the file
