In addition to debugging, it would be great if we could install extensions - at the very least for something like https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/xdebug-helper-by-jetbrain/aoelhdemabeimdhedkidlnbkfhnhgnhm, which is useful for PHP debugging.

OMG yes please, that would also be useful to allow the usage of company specific network/VPN authentication extensions, which currently forces me to use an external browser.
