Remote development becomes extremely laggy when editing files on a remote server

Steps to Reproduce:

1. I am experiencing severe lag when using VS Code to connect to a remote server and edit code remotely.

In Remote SSH sessions, the editor becomes very sluggish:

• typing has obvious delay
• scrolling stutters
• cursor movement is not smooth
• general code editing feels "very sluggish"

This happens consistently in VS Code, but under the same setup (same local machine, same remote server, same network), other editors such as Cursor do not have this issue and feel much smoother.

Because of that, I suspect there may be a performance regression or inefficiency in VS Code's remote editing experience.

Expected result:
Remote editing should be smooth and responsive.

Actual result:
Remote editing is noticeably laggy and affects normal coding workflow.
